About Ellen Howland
I never set out to share my story publicly.
For a long time, it felt like something I simply carried — quietly, privately, and often without the words to explain it. Life has a way of shaping us through the seasons we walk through, and for me, many of those seasons were marked by questions, uncertainty, and a deep desire to understand where I truly belonged.
Over time, I began to realise that the things we experience don’t just stay with us — they change how we see the world, and how we connect with others. And sometimes, they become the very things that are worth sharing.

My Story
Like many women, my life hasn’t followed a straight or simple path.
There have been moments that tested my resilience, seasons that felt uncertain, and experiences that forced me to ask deeper questions about identity, faith, and purpose. Some of those moments were quiet and internal, while others were more visible — but all of them have played a part in shaping who I am today.
Looking back, I can see how those seasons have changed not only how I understand my own story, but how I hold space for others in theirs. What once felt confusing or difficult has, over time, become something I can now speak from with honesty and clarity.
You Might Find Yourself Here If ...
You’re navigating a season that feels uncertain or overwhelming
You’ve been asking deeper questions about who you are and where you’re headed
You’re trying to move forward while still making sense of what’s behind you
You’re carrying things you don’t always have the words for

The Book
My book, For the Love of You, grew out of this journey.
It’s a deeply personal reflection on the experiences that have shaped me, and the lessons that have come from walking through both the challenging and the meaningful seasons of life. More than anything, it’s an invitation — to pause, to reflect, and to recognise that even in the hardest moments, there is something valuable being formed.
Where this has led
Today, I live on a farm with my husband, and life looks very different to what it once did.
Much of our life is grounded in the rhythms of the land — slower, quieter, and shaped by the seasons in a way that has brought a new kind of perspective. It’s here that I’ve had the space to reflect more deeply on my own journey, and to see more clearly how the experiences I’ve walked through can support others.
Alongside writing, I now work with women through my coaching practice — creating space for honest conversations, clarity, and growth as they navigate their own seasons of change.
